General Physics Teams with Parsons on Cooperative Threat Reduction Integrating Contract II (CTRIC II)

ELKRIDGE, Md., June 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Global performance improvement solutions provider General Physics Corporation (GP), a subsidiary of GP Strategies Corporation (NYSE: GPX), has teamed with Parsons, a firm that was selected by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) as one of four integrating contractors for its Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program. This 5-year (plus 1-year extension) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a ceiling of $950 million.

Established in 1991, the CTR Program is a congressionally mandated and funded program that seeks to reduce world arsenals of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). David H. Ziegler, Sr., GP’s Director of Chemical Weapon Destruction Programs, states, “GP has provided decades of training, engineering and operational services supporting the reduction of U.S. Army Chemical Weapon stockpiles domestically and looks forward to working with Parsons on the CTRIC II WMD reduction initiative globally.”
