Historically, when we talk about learning trends, we’ve focused on learning technologies such as chat bots, AR and VR, VILT, and other innovative delivery methods. Although these trends haven’t changed significantly during the past three to five years, the mindset of when and how to implement them has shifted drastically — out of necessity. The learning industry has long been captivated by technological advancements, but many L&D professionals have been slow to adopt them. COVID-19 has forced learning leaders to recognize that the “nice-to-have” trends are now critical ones.
